Josephine acts for business owners setting up, selling up, raising capital, negotiating all manner of commercial contracts and implementing employee option plans.

Recent M&A work includes acting for the founder of a defence business on its sale to the Commonwealth government, acting for a long term client on the exit of their business to an offshore acquirer and assisting a head franchisor of an auto parts and accessories business to acquire and corporatise franchisee and third-party stores.

Josephine’s work covers:

• Employee share schemes and other incentive schemes

She graduated from UNSW with an LLB/BA (Hons) and worked in the restructuring, insolvency and corporate advisory groups at two top tier Sydney firms. She joined Kardos Scanlan as an associate at its founding in August 2010, became a senior associate in 2014, and a partner in 2023. She has also served as a director of The Disability Trust, which provides care, services and advocacy for people with disabilities and their families.
