Ian acts for businesses in serious disputes — shareholders who’ve fallen out, employees who’ve left with the client list, contracts that have gone badly wrong — and for companies and directors when a business runs out of road.

He has 15 years’ experience and joined Kardos Scanlan in 2018 from Kemp Strang. He acts mainly for SMEs and listed corporations, and has run matters in every court in New South Wales, the Federal Court and the appellate courts. He also holds an MBA from Macquarie Graduate School of Management, which shapes how he reads a dispute: what it will cost the business, not only what it will cost in court.
